I just had a elec water heater installed, the cold water comes out of the faucet clear, while the hot water comes out looking milky…Is this normal?

It can happen with a new tank.It should clear after you have ran enough to empty the tank.If it doesn’t,it needs to be checked.
I think that it is just because the tank is new. It might have some residue in the tank that is coming out with the hot water.
