Someone turned it off on me today right when I was going to sleep D: I didn’t want to touch it and everyone was already asleep. How do you turn it on safely? Is there something I can follow?

If Electric, check panel box. I f gas,that can be more complicated. Much more than trying to answer here. Most Gas Water Heaters have instructions, on tank on how to ignite the pilot light.
