I m looking to install the powerstar instant hot water made by bosch AE125 in my house seems to be a requirement to install filter screen on inlet side does any one know the reason or i can do ok without? end there is required 200 amp circuit at the main panel for whole house uses 3 size 8 wire three 40 amp breakers, thanks any comments or sugestions Miguel in MD

The filter needs to be before the heater so the heater doesn’t get plugged up. The heaters life will be decreased and warranty voided if no filter.
