How do I get my gas water heater to light?

It’s a Bosch 13P instant gas water heater. It’s being phased out, so the Bosch website was completely useless.

The pilot light has gone out. I know which buttons to press – when I press the gas one, I can hear the gas flowing, but the other one doesn’t seem to be sparking, so I can’t get the pilot to light at all.

Anyone else had this problem and know what to do?

I’m looking to install a gas tank-less water heater and am looking at the Bosch Therm C 1050 ES which is a condensing model that vents with PVC. Now, everything I’ve read says that you can’t just dump the gasses into the chimney because it will corrode the chimney and such, but that I can use the chimney as a pipe chase to run the PVC vent through. However, our older, less efficient gas air heater exhausts into the chimney as well and my concern is that the exhaust is above the melting point of the PVC (Schedule-40 PVC melts at aprox. 386* F) and our investment would be lost. I know that you can run exhaust vents horizontally, but because of all of the other restrictions around what you can’t exhaust near, that is not an option.

Any thoughts?? I am running out of ideas here and am about to give up on the tank-less thing.

Ok so over the weekend i converted my Lx exhaust to a Ex same head d17a1

now the cat from the ex was oem i used a dc carb legal header

now here is where my issue began

everything fit perfectly but im throwing 2 code

1st code : PO135 O2 heater circuit ( bank 1,sensor 1)

2nd code : PO141 O2 heater circuit ( bank 1,sensor 2)

now from the lx o2 sensor need extending so i did so

first i crimped them made sure to use the wright gauge wire and everything this still gave me these 2 codes even when turned off they would still pop back up

second try to fix it i sauterd the wires makeing sure each wire was where and how it should be connected for proper conduction and protection from the weather aka water

i still threw those 2 codes

after i turn off/erase the codes wright after starting the car the check egine light pops wright back up **like its mocking me *** grrr

so wright now i cant pass california smog and my car is possibly running rich

also i would think i should go into limp mode and i have not weird

i have a lx ecu and im thinking maybe this is the issue im realy dunno at this point thats why im asking for help ideas to fix my issue or anything to test for

also the o2 sensors are like brand new 100 miles on them bosch

bosch aqua star refuses to work. when i turn handle to cold and then back, it re-ignites but then stops again. are there any sensors that can be affected by outside weather??

I m looking to install the powerstar instant hot water made by bosch AE125 in my house seems to be a requirement to install filter screen on inlet side does any one know the reason or i can do ok without? end there is required 200 amp circuit at the main panel for whole house uses 3 size 8 wire three 40 amp breakers, thanks any comments or sugestions Miguel in MD

I’m considering replacing my electric water heater with a Bosch electric tankless (60 degree rise at 3 gal. per minute, incoming water at 45 degree’s). —- I have the necessary electric supply with two -200 amp breaker panels with empty breaker positions in each ( need120 amps for heater).—- I have heard that the temperature can fluctuate as much as 8 to 10 degrees, which is most notable during a shower. Can anyone that uses a tankless water heater tell me your experience with it. It’s just my wife and I, we only shower, use the sink, do laundry, etc. one at a time.

I turned it off for a long time b/c I was gone. Is it dirty? It’s gas also. I had to have it fixed once before but I’m not sure what they did (I live in Germany – language barrier). It’s made by Junkers which is Bosch in Germany. Please help! Thanks!

Replacing a 40g tank with an electric tankless. This would be for an 800sq ft house 1 bathroom with water at 47 degrees. Any recommendation with any certain brand Bosch, Titan etc and model type would be helpful.
