Basically, my kitchen is the furthest sink away from my water heater. It takes forever for the water to get warm, and then another couple of moments to get really hot. I’m concerned that I’m not getting hot water to the dishwasher, unless I run the hot water at the sink first, but then for the rinse cycle, it has luke water again, instead of the hot water… I was thinking of putting in either a point of use instant hot water heater, or a 2-3 gallon tank heater, just to provide hot water, and figured if it was a tank, it would replinish alot quicker because of the hot water coming into it after it it depleted.. Any idea’s or pro’s/con’s anybody can think of? Anybody tried it before?

The Convenience Of Using An Instant Hot Water Heater

If you have ever come home after a long day at work wanting to just soak under a hot shower, you will understand the frustration of having to wait for water to heat up. The best way to solve this problem is to use an instant hot water heater.

These instant water heaters come in two models: The electric and gas instant water heater. Depending on the water usage needs of your home, you can select between several models of tankless water heaters. Instant gas hot water heaters can use either natural gas or propane to give you hot water on demand.

Some of the brands you can look at are: Bosch, Rinnai, Paloma and Titan instant water heaters. Rheem is also a very popular brand for these on-demand water heaters. The cost of these instantaneous water heaters can range from $150 to over $250 depending on what you are looking for.

The Bosch AE-9.5 Powerstar 1.5 GPM Point of Use Indoor Tankless Water Heater eliminates long waits for hot water by pumping out ¾ gallons of heated water per minute. Designed to deliver hot water for 1 sink at a time, it is easily installed to tap into existing cold water lines. It can also be mounted on the wall in any direction and is 99 percent efficient. To activate this on demand hot water heater, you only need a minimum flow of water. It operates on 220v when using 84% of its capacity, and 208v when using 75% of capacity. It also comes with a 5 year warranty.

If space is a premium in your house, you can consider the Rheem Continuous Flow water heater that comes with optional temperature controllers. Because it does not store water, it works by instantly heating water whenever you need it. You can select temperatures between 37°C and 50°C in the bathroom to protect your young ones, while increasing the temperature up to 60°C in the kitchen and laundry. Rheem has a large range of water heaters to provide you with the quantity of hot water that you need in your home.

Saving Money with Instant Hot Water Heaters

Depending on the hot water required in your home, you could end up saving money using an instantaneous hot water heater compared to regular water heaters that use a single large tank for the entire household. Does it make sense for you to get a point of use instant water heater?

When you look at not having to wait for hot water and always having it on demand, if it saves you money in the long run, getting one is truly a no-brainer.
