Tankless water heater condensing,what brand to buy ?

I have been looking into brands of Gas tank-less water heater that are condensing, But still unsure of what brand to buy. Looking at the Japanese Brands that are big over hear, Rinnai, Noritz, Navien, or takagi, I will probably get two and link them, even if small house. I want to be able to run shower,dishwasher, sink, steam washer and steam dryer at same time. Anyone know what brand would be really good, I’m looking for warranty with excellent quality for long time 15+ years.
I’m also considering the water issues in the area and probably have to have a whole house water filter system installed as well as hot water filters on tank-less heaters.
I Plan to use Two Tank-less water heaters linked together for my demand.

What rebates can I apply for buying a tank-less water heater?

I have purchased tankless water heaters and boilers for my home in New Jersey, the dealer from which I bought the units told me that I can apply for State, and Federal rebates , I did a little crawling around the web and found sites stating the you can get rebates but no one had the actually forms and address to get things started?

Is there a water heater for a plastic tank?

I have a plastic tank I bought for my betta. Unfortunately, the temperature of the tank at the moment is around 76 F and I know I need it 78-80.

I’ve been told there is no water heaters for plastic tanks, but I am sure there is someone out there using a heater in a plastic tank.

(Note: I’ve been told that plastic fish tanks can use heaters for hermit crab tanks. Is this true?)

Please provide links of maybe places I could find these products.

i purchased a laundromat eight months ago and now don’t have hot water need an inspector to give me an estimate on what needs to be fixed or maybe new water heaters. Also need electric inspected.

My water heater is probably on it’s last leg. i want to be prepared to replace it when it goes out, or even make a preemptive strike. What are the good options out there. What can I expect to pay? I remember hearing about Microwave water heaters that heat on demand. is there a good affordable technology out there yet?

DIY hydronic underfloor radiant heating system?

I am researching on if it is possible to build a hydronic underfloor heating system from common materials. I was thinking about purchasing a medium size water heater, water pump, and about 1000 feet of tubing, maybe pvc, or even your higher end common garden hoses as they dont have much insulation to contain the heat in the hose. and it isnt like the lines will be under any serious pressure. I am on a 4′ crawlspace now, and I am getting ready to install insulation. Any recommendations? the commercial stuff is way over priced if you have researched you can pick up a water heater for under 150 and a commercial smaller boiler will run 2000. also the pex hosing runs about 10 dollars a foot, your most expensive hose isnt 30 dollars for 50 feet. Any help is appreciated.. Thanks
I was wondering if this sounds like it would work well. I am trying not to dump 10k into a radiant system. And I have never seen one in person or the components used. But looking online at a few sites I have seen where water heaters were used, and I am not sure if they work properly for this application, also the hose, or tubing. The pex tubing that is suppose to be used looks alot like a garden hose. I was also thinking about running PVC as it is cheap too. I would think the hose would be better as I can run it between the joists in a snake pattern because it is so flexible. I am not wanting to waste 1000 either if it isnt going to work correctly. I was hoping to get some answers from people that have experience with this stuff. Will the PVC or a garden hose distribute heat well? or is there another inexpensive hose/tube that would work better other than the PEX? Will the water heater work for a heat source on a 1000 feet of tubing? and what size is recommended? How large a pump? TIA

What is under the top of an electric water heater that can short out when it gets wet?

We have one of those short 20 something gal water heaters and there is a small hole on the top(came that way) that you can see the insulation through. Well my cat just peed on top of the water heater and it went in that hole and shorted something out. What is up there electrically that blew and made a loud POP sound? Will the heater work when everything dries out?

Hey all,

Currently I am deployed to Iraq and my unit is split up between many smaller bases. These bases all have their own shower trailers with 10-20 nozzles a peice. However, the water heaters they have just can’t support the frequency of use. I need information on a good fit for a real heavy-duty water heater so I can get these guys some good hot water for consistent showers. Anyone have any stats/specs on one? Or a link to a website? Any help you can give would be appreciated as hot showers at the end of the day here is something that can’t even be described.
Oh. My power souce will have to be electricity, and 220v at that.
I can procure many things locally. Currently these heater would be running off of large standing tanks (2000+ gallon) and straight into the trailers. I’d need the exact specifications on these tankless heaters, as I’m completely unfamiliar with any of this stuff and the Iraqi market has lots of sub-par variations on almost anything you can think of. Space consumed is also a concern, would these take up much room?
