Remember you get what you pay for, Bradford white, and Rheem are about the best. GE does not make water heaters but home centers have them. Other companies make them and GE puts their name on them. Check the label it tells you the manufacture.
I would suggest getting a Richmond water heater. They put out name brands like Rheem and Ruud. You pay extra for those names. Most Richmond models have an eight year tank warranty which is two years longer than the standard six.
