If you have gas, stick with it. You’d have to make changes in your wiring to make changes for a electric one. It would only add to the cost and, the differences wouldn’t be worth it in a long run.
A gas or electric water heater will run anywhere from $350.00 to as much as $600.00 for a thirty gallon heater. It is what you want. You can get a ten year or a twenty year, a forty gallon or a twenty gallon.
