Would someone help me figure out what is wrong with my BOSCH 2400E? I had to reset it after seeing "A7" error

by Water Heaters on May 24, 2010

This is an on demand water heater with 110V plug in ignition. It has stopped working twice and showing "A7" in the LCD window that usually display the temperature setting.

I was able to reset by turning off and holding down the reset button as I turn it back on.

I looked for the manual but can not find it. I can not contact the contractor that installed the thing so I am stuck.

Anyone out there can offer help I would appreciate it. If you know where I can get a copy of the manual or down load it, I would appreciate it. I have found the installation manual but have not seen a trouble shooting one.

Thanks for your help.

A7 – Hot water temperature sensor fault

One would initially think that the temperature sensor has failed, but I would try to call tech support at Bosch to confirm that diagnosis before replacing it. I have called them in the past for help with Aquastar water heaters & found them very helpful.
